Opera Now: George Benjamin OPERA NOW is a six-part documentary series hosted by Vasco Mendonça, a composer with a passion for contemporary opera who is committed to introducing the general public to this unique world. In each episode, he presents a landmark work of the 21st century through interviews with composers, directors, and singers... This first episode is devoted to the works of two leading figures in 21st-century opera: composer George Benjamin and playwright Martin Crimp, a duo responsible for, among other works, Into the Little Hill, Lessons in Love and Violence, Written on Skin, and Picture a Day Like This.
