The Hempel Sailing World Cup Series is back. The 2021 season takes place in Medemblik, The Netherlands, during the famous Allianz Regatta. The race started in 1939 and it is a symbolic race that brings together the best of Switzerland’s sailing tradition.Every year they welcome mono-hulls and multihulls on Lake Geneva, starting in the city of Geneva. Launched in 2008, the Sailing World Cup series is the annual circuit for the Olympic elite. Over 2000 of the world's leading athletes that represent 75 nations have competed in the Sailing World Cup. It is open to the sailing classes chosen for the 2020 Olympic events in Tokyo 2020, Para World Sailing classes and Kiteboarding when possible.This top series moves around the world offering spectators with the best in the Olympic sailing world. The 19 sailing champions of Europe will be crowned in this gathering that has over 150 sailors and more than 100 boats and boards compete against triumph. 14 European countries have sent their best sailors to compete in eight different disciplines, including single-handed and double-handed dinghies, plus sailboards and high performance dinghy. The Bart’s Bash was created in an attempt to break the world record for the largest sailing race ever. Honouring America’s Cup great athlete Andrew “Bart” Simpson, this 24-hour race is compiled of thousands of sailors from over 60 countries set to take place at multiple ports. This fundraising race connects sailing communities across the globe and is sure to bring exciting competition all for a good cause. Sailing with a smile on their face, competitors rush across different venues raising money for the Andrew Simpson Foundation.
